Pain management approaches include procedures, injections, and/or therapy. They are done to alleviate either acute or chronic pain and can either be simple or complex depending on the severity of the case.

If you are experiencing pain, you may need help devising a pain management plan. Allow AASC to help you curate a plan that is specific to your needs – leaving you comfortable and relieved. .

One of the most common symptoms of injuries, diseases, disorders, and conditions a person may experience is pain. Before deciding which pain management approach is best suited for you it is important to understand if you are experiencing acute or chronic pain.

Acute pain is temporary as it only lasts a short time and generally subsides once the injury is healed. On the other hand, chronic pain continues behind the expected time of healing and typically lasts for months or years – becoming debilitating.

Depending on what you are experiencing, your physician may recommend one pain management approach or a combination of several to combat the pain.

You may experience pain that is minor or extreme and feel pain in one part of your body or it may be widespread. The primary goal of pain management, especially in cases where a patient is experiencing chronic pain, is to reduce pain not eliminate it. There are a variety of injuries that will cause a patient to experience pain such as:

  • Arthritis and muscle joint injuries – causing limited mobility and stiffness

  • Autoimmune diseases – causing muscle inflammation and swelling

  • Back injuries – causing limited mobility

  • Nerve damage – causing uncomfortable stinging and tingling

Our Advanced Technology

At AASC, C-ARM is the advanced technology used for pain management. C-ARM is named after the arm that connects the source of x-rays to the detector, forming a C shape. These C-Arm machines are widely used during orthopedic, complicated surgical, pain management, and other procedures.

It is important for your physician to give you a comprehensive plan that will allow you to feel good on the inside and out to avoid the risk of your case becoming worse. If unresolved, pain can lead to severe mental health and emotional issues. There are studies that prove that a patient’s pain is correlated with their emotional well-being. Chronic pain can trigger anxiety, depression, and increase substance abuse.
