What is an ASC?

For many patients new to surgery, an ASC or "ambulatory surgery center" can sound alarming. However, rest assured the "ambulatory" in ASC is industry wording. Unlike most hospital surgeries, where patients are there for more than a day following surgery, an ASC is an outpatient facility, meaning patients leave the same day they have surgery. 

Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center (AASC) specializes in minimally invasive procedures (pain management, orthopedics, and neuro and more). Physicians bring their patients here for surgery and their patients are discharged the very same day.
